Storm Alumni Win 15th Straight Matchup

On September 13, 2025, a nostalgic and exciting atmosphere enveloped the campus as over 20 alumni & 2 Former Head Coaches, gathered for the annual Alumni Game, which began at 11:00 am. Former players, some traveling from as far back as the 1990s, reunited to face off against the current 2025-26 Chemeketa Baseball team. In a spirited contest, the seasoned alumni squad emerged victorious with a 7-5 win over the young team, marking the 15th consecutive victory for the alumni.

The event was not only about the thrill of the game but also a time for camaraderie and sharing wisdom. A local Hawaiian food cart, The Flaming Pineapple, conveniently served delicious meals, fueling both players and spectators alike. After the nine-inning battle, many alumni took the time to impart valuable life lessons to the current team members. These conversations centered around optimizing their time at Chemeketa, learning to appreciate the moment, and the importance of slowing down to be present. The alumni emphasized the significance of curiosity, studying the game, and engaging in meaningful baseball discussions.
