Site-Swap: Storm Baseball Adjusts Schedule for Entryway Renovations

SALEM, Ore. — The Chemeketa Storm are moving their mid-week home stand, but it's all for a good cause. Due to ongoing construction at Storm Field, the upcoming four-game series against Clackamas Community College has undergone a "site-swap" to allow crews to finalize major upgrades to the ballpark's infrastructure.

Work is currently underway to finish electrical installations and the new promenade area, which will serve as the focal point of the stadium's revamped entryway. To ensure player and fan safety while these finishing touches are applied, the Storm will hit the road before returning home for the series finale.

A New Look for Storm Field

The minor schedule adjustment is a small price to pay for the significant improvements coming to the Salem campus. The new promenade area and revamped entryway are designed to enhance the game-day experience, providing a more professional and welcoming atmosphere for the Chemeketa community and visiting teams alike.

Once the electrical work and paving are completed, Storm Field will stand as one of the premier facilities in the NWAC South, reflecting the program's commitment to excellence both on and off the diamond.

Navigating the Series

The Storm head into this series looking to capitalize on their recent momentum. By flipping the sites, Chemeketa will now have the advantage of playing the critical "bridge" games of the series on their home turf this Saturday.

"We're excited about the upgrades being made to our home," said the athletic department. "Taking our Wednesday games to Clackamas allows the contractors the window they need to get the entryway ready for our fans. We can't wait to welcome everyone back to a refreshed Storm Field this Saturday."

Fan Information

• Wednesday Attendance: Fans traveling to Oregon City to support the Storm can catch the action at the Clackamas CC baseball field starting at 1:00 PM.

• Saturday Homestand: We invite the entire Salem community to join us Saturday afternoon for sophomore day and cheer on the Storm as they look to defend their home turf one last time.
