Chemeketa Softball Finishes Another Year Advancing to the NWAC Tournament
Chemeketa softball wins first round in NWAC Tournament
In the first two seasons under the helm of Head Coach, Chelsea Qualls, the Chemeketa Storm earn thier second appearance in the NWAC Softball Tournament. The Storm lost their first game against Wenatchee Valley Community College with a score of 2-5 placing them in the consolation side of the bracket and needing to win out to advance to the championship game. In the Storm's second game, taking on Treasure Valley Community College, Chemeketa wins it with a score of 6-5 advancing to day two. Next up, Chemeketa faced Centralia College but fell short, thus ending their season. Chemeketa also received two NWAC All-Region Awards. Sophomore, Aliyah Wilsey earned first team outfield All-Region NWAC Award and Sophomore, Jessica Rule earned second team utility All-Region NWAC Award. Chemeketa is in a prime position to earn another spot in the upcoming 2026 NWAC Championship Tournament with the momentum from Coach Qualls and the Chemeketa Storm team.
