**Chemeketa Dominates with 4-0 Victory Over Rogue & Wins NWAC South Region Title**
The Chemeketa Women's Soccer team takes sole possesion of the NWAC South Region Title with a Win at Rogue CC, October 29th, 2025.
In an impressive showing of skill and coordination, the Chemeketa women's soccer team secured a decisive 4-0 victory against Rogue. The match, held at 300 Lowry Ln, Medford, demonstrated Chemeketa's offensive prowess and defensive strength.
Chemeketa took command from the start, with Mira Thornton striking early at the 6th minute, driving the first goal unassisted past Rogue's defense. Evelyn Loibl and her team continued to press forward, maintaining relentless pressure throughout the match. While Loibl did not score, her presence was pivotal in midfield.
Emorie Lowen widened Chemeketa's lead with an unassisted goal at the 25-minute mark. Thornton and Lowen both kept up their offensive momentum into the second half, with Thornton scoring her second goal just a minute after play resumed, followed by Lowen adding her second in the 56th minute.
Chemeketa dominated the match statistics, racking up a total of 41 shots compared to Rogue's 2, reflecting their aggressive offensive strategy. Clarisa Lemus also contributed significantly with 12 shots, seven of which were on goal, although she did not find the back of the net.
Goalkeeper Ella Holwege of Chemeketa delivered a flawless performance, securing her squad's clean sheet by saving the only shot on goal from Rogue. On the other end, Rogue's goalkeeper Addison Vranes faced intense pressure, making 28 saves but unable to stem the relentless Chemeketa attack, conceding four goals.
The match saw limited fouls, with Chemeketa committing four and Rogue three, indicating a clean game focused on play rather than physicality.
The Storm Women went undefeated during League Play with a 9-0-3 record, having beat all of the NWAC South teams at least once.
With the South Region Title the Storm take the 1 seed from the South and automatically slot into the Quarterfinals of the NWAC tournament. They will host the winner of the West Region's 2 seed and the North Region's 3 seed on Saturday, November 8th.
