Bio
Coach Liciance Wentz is entering her first year as the Head Coach at Chemeketa Community College. Currently, she serves as the Head Coach for Girls Academy Teams at Capital Futbol Club and is the Associate Girls Academy Director for the same club. Her coaching achievements include leading teams to win two Oregon State Cups in the U14 and U15 categories and securing a runner-up position in the U16 category. She also guided a team to the Final 4 of the USYS Far West Regional.
In recognition of her coaching excellence, she was named the Oregon Girls Competitive Coach of the Year in 2020 and the West Region Girls Competitive Coach of the Year in 2021.
Her coaching experience extends to being an Assistant Coach at Georgia Southwestern State University, as well as at Glencoe High School and Lincoln High School in Oregon.
Her playing career is equally notable, having played professional soccer in Brazil from 2008 to 2013, including a stint with S.C International. She also played for Capital FC, which is now known as Minas Brasilia, and competed in college soccer for William Carey University and Thomas University. She achieved significant success in Brazil, being a District Federal Champion in 2013 and a runner-up in 2012, as well as a National Collegiate Soccer Champion in 2010 and 2011 for the University of Catolica de Brasilia. Additionally, she was a National Collegiate Champion in Beach Soccer in 2011.
During her time at William Carey University, she appeared in the NAIA Final 4 in 2015, was a Southwestern Conference Runner-Up, and was recognized as an NAIA SEC Champions of Character Player. She was also named an All-tournament player in 2013-2014.
Her coaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive community that fosters teamwork, confidence, and leadership, aiming to positively impact athletes' lives and contribute to their personal, academic, and athletic development.
