Cross Country Competes in First Meet of the Fall Season
Chemeketa Women Start Off the Season at the Ash Creek Festival Meet, at Western Oregon University
The Chemeketa Women's Cross-Country team was excited to compete in their first race of 2025!
Western Oregon University hosted the Ash Creek Festival on Friday the 12th of September at the Ash Creek Preserve. It was a beautiful day for a race with sunny skies and a high of 74.
Racers from all over the northwest and all levels of collegegiate cross-country participated. Schools included: Western Oregon, Bushnell, Portland State, Portland, Corban, Oregon State, Chemeketa CC, Mt. Hood CC, Umpqua CC & Lane CC.
2 Chemeketa Women were able to compete including Joseline Tapia-Guerra (pictured) finished with a time of 29:00:70 & Sarah Rodriguez-Uribe finished at 32:09:30.
Coach Brooks and the women are excited to get back on the track for their next meet, the "Mike Johnson Classic", on September 27th, at the Ash Creek Preserve
