**Chemeketa Triumphs Over Portland in a Thrilling Match**
Portland, OR – In a nail-biting contest, Chemeketa Community College edged out Portland with a 4-3 victory in a men's soccer match held on October 29, 2025. The event, staged at Portland's home ground, was a treat for soccer enthusiasts, showcasing intense competitiveness and skillful play.
The match started with Portland drawing first blood at the 12:52 mark, with Otto Pasley finding the net thanks to assist by Trung Nghia. However, Chemeketa quickly leveled the score at 20:11 through Addison Samuell, who scored an unassisted goal.
The second half saw an explosion of action, with Chemeketa pulling ahead when Tristan Olvera (Pictured-30) scored two unassisted goals at 50:26 and 74:39. Olvera's dominant performance on the field was further highlighted when he completed his hat-trick with a shot from an assist by Johnathan Ruiz, putting Chemeketa up 4-2.
Portland responded fiercely in the second half. Saidu Yillah netted a goal at 68:35, assisted by Evan Faulkner, reducing the deficit to 2-3. Then at 78:39, Otto Pasley, once again exploited an assist from Trung Nghia, narrowing the score to 4-3. Despite their efforts, Portland could not overcome the one-goal margin.
The defensive units were put to the test with both goalkeepers, Chemeketa's Joshua Olvera and Portland's Joseph Roeper, making numerous saves. The match was marked by physical play, with Portland receiving two yellow cards, awarded to Oliver Pasley and Daniel Aseiev at 36:32 and 50:26 respectively.
