On October 15, 2025, the Lane College volleyball team showcased a masterclass performance against Chemeketa Community College at the Storm Center, sweeping the series 3-0 with set scores of 25-16, 25-23, and 25-22. The victory brings both teams' records to 9-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play.

From the first whistle, Lane exhibited dominance with powerful attacks and strategic plays. The Roadrunners started strong in the first set, boasting a hitting percentage of .414 with key contributions from hitter Lada Smetanina, who recorded 10 kills on 16 attempts, resulting in a formidable .562 hitting percentage. Chemeketa struggled to find their rhythm, hitting only .030 in the initial set.

The second set was more competitive as Chemeketa sought to regain their footing. Despite their efforts and improving their attack percentage to .178, they couldn't outmatch Lane's offensive prowess, which maintained pressure with a .225 hitting percentage and secured the set 25-23.

In the final set, Lane once again demonstrated superior teamwork and precision, achieving a remarkable .538 hitting percentage. Gracelyn Myhre and Bailey Hoover prominently contributed, each securing double-digit points. The Chemeketa Storm showed resilience with their best hitting percentage of the night at .321, but it wasn't enough to overcome Lane's consistency and skillful play.
