Chemeketa triumphed over Clackamas with an 8-5 victory at Belmodis Field in game one against Clackamas.
From the onset, Chemeketa took control, scoring in the first inning with J. Rule's RBI double that brought C. Weaving home. The momentum continued in the third inning as Chemeketa unleashed a five-run assault, establishing a commanding 6-0 lead. C. Weaving's RBI double, followed by J. Rule's single and a two-RBI double from R. Shumaker, highlighted this explosive inning.
Clackamas, however, fought back in the fourth inning with three runs. J. Rush's RBI single ignited the comeback, complemented by K. Wickizer's RBI single and a bases-loaded walk by B. Herren. This surge narrowed Chemeketa's lead to 6-3.
Chemeketa extended their lead in the fifth inning with L. DeLoe's two-run homer, pushing the score to 8-3. Despite Clackamas' efforts in the sixth and seventh innings, they couldn't bridge the gap. Chemeketa's L. DeLoe securing the win pitching a complete game scattering seven hits while striking out three, and being supported by a solid defense that committed no errors

Clackamas quickly established their dominance after a slow start, with their offensive onslaught beginning in the second inning. Although Chemeketa initially matched their pace with a lone run in the second frame, Clackamas pulled ahead significantly in the third inning, scoring six runs. This onslaught was spearheaded by B. Herren who hit a decisive double bringing in three runs but also rounded off the victory with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Herren ended the game with an outstanding six RBIs.
Chemeketa showed resilience, with notable performances from A. Archuleta and C. Weaving. They managed to cut into Clackamas' lead during the bottom of the third with a series of strong hits and smart plays, bringing the score to 7-4. However, Clackamas regained control with a series of runs in the fourth and fifth innings, effectively sealing the game.
