Game one at Belmodis Field, saw Southwestern Oregon's softball team put forth a dominate performance with a 10-1 victory over Chemeketa.
The game commenced with an explosive start from Southwestern Oregon, scoring two runs in the first inning. E. Ulufale's single drove in J. Halas and M. Alexander, setting the tone for the game. Although the second inning remained scoreless, Southwestern Oregon resumed their scoring drive in the third inning, as A. McDonald drove in M. Wright to score a run. G. Beriault and J. Halas contributed further, with Beriault grounding out to bring in a run and Halas delivering a two-run double. By the end of the third inning, Southwestern Oregon had extended their lead to 6-0.
The fourth inning highlighted Southwestern Oregon's prowess when N. Rey homered, driving in four runs and cementing the lead at 10-0. Chemeketa managed to put one run on the board in their half of the fourth inning with J. Rule's RBI single, bringing home A. Wilsey.
In game two Southwestern Oregon continuted its stronghold over Chemeketa with a decisive 12-2 victory.
Southwestern Oregon took an early lead in the first inning with M. Wright's RBI single, which was quickly followed by A. McDonald's three-run homer, putting them up 4-0. Chemeketa managed to get on the board in the bottom of the first when C. Weaving singled to bring home A. Archuleta, reducing the deficit to 4-1.
Action stalled in the middle innings until Southwestern Oregon's T. Goodell hit an RBI double in the fourth, further widening the gap to 5-1. Chemeketa's J. Vermillio took advantage of an error in the fourth inning to bring R. Shumaker home, adding another run for Chemeketa and making it 5-2.
The game was definitively sealed for Southwestern Oregon in the fifth inning as they unleashed a seven-run barrage, that was highlighted by key contributions from G. Beriault, B. Kahalehau, M. Alexander, and T. Goodell, who collectively drove in multiple runs to bring the final score to 12-2.
